Because I work for the Alaska State Legislature I must move back and forth between Juneau, our state capitol, and Anchorage. I make the trip to Juneau in late December and return to Anchorage in late May or early June. My next trip will be my 27th move in fourteen years. I'm getting awefully tired of moving. But, once I get to Juneau I get to live in a wonderful home. Above are some pictures of the city on one of the few days it isn't raining. Our capitol city is the only state capitol in the nation that can be reached only by boat or plane.

The home is at 3180 Pioneer Avenue on Douglas Island. It has a great view of the channel and Juneau and its set up for entertaining. It has five bedrooms and four bathrooms split amongst three levels. We have a great deck, a hot tub, and a pool room. I'm fortunate enought that I can share this home with four of my friends and co-workers. Working for the Legislature is often difficult and very stressful, but having a nice home to come back to is great ... it makes Juneau almost tolerable.
